Micro-Needling - Remodelling

Microneedling is a cosmetic treatment using a pen-like or roller device with tiny, sterile needles to create microscopic punctures in the skin's surface, stimulating the body's natural wound-healing response to increase collagen and elastin production. This process improves skin texture, tightens skin, and reduces the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, stretch marks, and hyperpigmentation. The procedure is minimally invasive, with minimal downtime and temporary side effects like redness or a sunburned feeling.

How it Works

Controlled Micro-injuries:

A specialized device with tiny, sharp needles is passed over the skin, creating thousands of minuscule punctures.

Stimulates Healing:

These tiny "micro-injuries" trigger the skin's natural healing process and a state of repair mode.

Increased Collagen and Elastin:

As the skin repairs itself, new collagen and elastin fibers are produced, which are essential for skin firmness and elasticity.

Skin Rejuvenation:

The increased production of collagen and elastin helps to remodel and thicken the outermost layer of the skin (epidermis), leading to a younger, smoother, and more radiant appearance.

What It Treats

Microneedling is used to address a range of skin concerns:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Acne and surgical scars

  • Stretch marks

  • Hyper- and hypopigmentation (uneven skin tone)

  • Enlarged pores

  • Sun damage

What to Expect

Preparation:

A topical numbing cream is often applied to minimize discomfort during the procedure.

During Treatment:

The provider will use a microneedling device to create the micro-injuries.

After Treatment:

You may experience temporary redness, itching, or a sensation similar to a mild sunburn, which usually subsides within a few days.

Results:

The final results appear gradually over several weeks and months as your skin produces new collagen and elastin.
