Shirodhara Training Course
Course Overview
Shirodhara is one of Ayurveda’s most deeply relaxing and therapeutic treatments, designed to harmonize the mind, body, and spirit. The term Shirodhara comes from Sanskrit — “Shiro” meaning head and “Dhara” meaning flow. In this therapy, a steady stream of warm, medicated oil is poured over the forehead (specifically the Ajna marma or “third eye” area), inducing profound mental calmness, clarity, and rejuvenation.
This training course offers comprehensive, hands-on instruction in the theory, setup, techniques, and therapeutic applications of Shirodhara as part of Ayurvedic body therapy practices.

Ayurveda body massage, rooted in ancient Indian healing traditions, aims to balance the body, mind, and spirit. This therapeutic practice employs warm herbal oils tailored to an individual's unique constitution, known as dosha. The massage technique typically combines long, smooth strokes with gentle kneading, promoting relaxation and harmony within the body.
The oils used in Ayurveda are often infused with medicinal herbs, each selected for their specific properties. For instance, sesame oil is widely used for its nourishing qualities, while coconut oil may be chosen for its cooling effects. The aromatic scents of these oils not only enhance the therapeutic experience but also stimulate the senses, fostering a deep sense of well-being.
